Services
I like to solve problems not just part of a problem. For this reason, as well as a never-ending desire to learn new skills, I cover a wide range of services across both printed and digital mediums. This one-stop-shop approach means I can handle all your requirements from initial start up branding and printed collateral through to fully functional CMS driven websites.
Below is list of some of the services I offer. If you don’t directly see what you are after don’t worry, let’s talk.

Processes
A good design process is structured around ensuring the client gets the highest quality solution and service appropriate to their business, marketing or communication problem. From gathering initial information, to the refinement of custom designs and finally to production and maintenance, a solid creative process is essential to establishing unique and engaging solutions that supersede client expectations.
It’s true what they say, and no two jobs are exactly the same, however below is a general overview of what you can expect when working with me.
+ WEB PROCESS
ConsultationThe first step in designing a successful web site is to gather information from you. Many things need to be taken into consideration when the look and feel of your site is created. We discuss your business, goals, target audience, ideas and more. As well as the project parameters such as scope, budget, timeline and technical requirements. |
|
Research & PlanningUnfortunately, there's no such thing as a "One Size Fits All" approach to design. Without in-depth research, solutions become generic and ineffective. Here I analyze your competitor's sites and what their approach and offerings are. This information helps me to position your site within your industry in terms of design and content. From this a sitemap and wireframe are produced for your feedback and approval. |
|
Design DevelopmentFrom the ideas discussed, and information gathered in the previous steps, a conceptual design is created. Initially this consists of a few key pages mocked up in Photoshop and sent to you for feedback and approval. When you are satisfied with the look and feel of the site the remaining pages are designed then revised and tweaked to your approval. |
|
Technical Development and LaunchOnce you approve the design I proceed with coding and developing the design into an actual functional website. The site is then tested for complete functionality and cross browser compatibility and submitted to you for review. After getting your approval on the site it is launched to the public and basic search engine optimization undertaken. |
|
Support & MaintenanceWhat’s next after your site goes live? One way to bring repeat visitors to your site is to offer new content or products on a regular basis. For those who like to be hands on and update the content themselves I include a personal tutorial session on how to use the content management system. I can also help with on going site maintenance at a fixed rate. |
+ PRINT PROCESS
BriefingNearly all designers agree that the initial accumulation of information from the client is the most important step, preferably face to face or by email. We discuss your business, objectives, target audience, key message and more. As well as the project parameters such as scope, deliverables, budget, timeline and technical requirements. |
|
DesignBased on the information collected during the briefing stage, as well as my own research, draft concepts and preliminary designs are created and the most appropriate options are selected for further development. These visual solutions are then presented to the client and the design decisions explained. Following your review and feedback the most appropriate design is developed and, if necessary, you are presented with new design(s). |
|
ARTWORKThe final design is then refined and prepared for print. A proof is provided either by email or hardcopy and is approved or changes made and a further proof provided. If the project has deliverables that are not to be printed or the client have arranged printing themselves, all required digital files are provided at this stage. |
|
ProductionThe final artwork is forwarded to a commercial printer, who then provides a printer’s proof which is passed onto the client for approval. In some cases, I can conduct a “press check” of the printed sample while the job is running on the printing press. |
